What a bloody treat!

Onnen is a magical little corner of the world and we’re so lucky to have borrowed it for the weekend! Before even arriving here, I knew it would be a place we’d want to come back to.

We had some dry weather and even a few gaps in the clouds, enough to see the beautiful stars.

We cooked great food in Ty Mawr, stayed cosy by the fire and passed the hours crafting and listening to the birds (and foxes at night - spooky!)

Thank you so much for making something so magical and deciding to share it with the world!

A repeat visit as we’d loved it so much last time & it didn’t disapoint. What a lovely cabin with everything we wanted and endless nature to enjoy.

‘Wild eyed, wicked and oblivious’ were recommended if we liked folk music and their performance in Salem didn’t disapoint, albeit a little bit crazy, we loved it!

Knowing that we would be arriving in -1 degree temperature, we were hoping Onnen would be as cosy as it appeared online.

Luckily it really was! Such a handy log fire which kept us toasty in the night, warmed us up after a big walk around Llyn y Fan Fach in the snow!

The communal facilities are amazing, with all the utensils you might need to eat and the hot water bottles were a thoughtful addition.

It was just the weekend away we needed, Thank you!

The cabin is so cosy and warm (I had no idea it was going to be so warm!) We did the white flag walk too, which was quite an adventure, with water water everywhere, but good fun! Like doing a treasure hunt - with Ty Mawr with tea and a raspberry ruffle cake as the treasure at the end!

Really loved it here and hope to be back!

Just fantastic - the cabin is so cosy and spacious. I loved the risen-up bed with the settee underneath. I sat and watched the birds in the morning and was very pleased to hear a bullfinch one day!

I was able to practice my fire lighting skills (I think i’ve got the hang of it now!) and had a great time exploring the land around the site (I even caught a glimpse of the Exmoor ponies). Ty Mawr is a lovely relaxing place to hang out during the day - in fact I didn’t really want to go anywhere else! We even had a visit from the cat on the last night :)

Diolch for a lovely few days at Llwynbwch Barn. We loved having time out from our day to day lives and being able to spend some lovely quality time together.

It was lovely seeing the birds in the garden ad getting to walk to Llansadwrn (even through the mud!)

We spent the cosiest two nights in Onnen under the stars and would have loved to have stayed for many more.

Falling asleep to the crackling of the fire and waking up to the birds was completely magical.

What an amazing place Lou & Adam have created. We really hope to visit again soon.

After putting this little space together last year we finally made it down to spend a night in Onnen!

Honestly, what a treat!

It was in the very cold spell - we went to sleep with the fire crackling and snow falling, all cosy warm. We woke up to -10 degrees outside, re-lit the fire and enjoyed a magical morning while the snow continued to fall all around us.

To top it off, this was the morning of my 50th birthday!

Everything is incredible well thought through from the lights on the paths to the window on the mezzanine bunk. A very inspiring place to stay - we would love to come back.

Our toddler was delighted with the Christmas tree and all the lovely books and games. Three nights has not been long enough!

It has been a very beautiful weekend staying in Onnen and exploring this beautiful area of Wales!

Onnen was cosy and magical. We liked walking down the path after dark to look at the amazing stars and listen to the sounds and creaks of the trees in the wind.

The communal kitchen space is amazing, we had everything we needed and felt fully relaxed here.

We went for a great walk along the Cambrian Way, near to Gwenffrwd-Dinas Nature Reserve. We visited Dinefwr park, Llandeilo and Llandovery - all worth a trip.

We booked to come away for a couple of nights for my 30th birthday and all I can say is ‘Wow’!

We definitely chose the right place when booking Onnen. The bed was so comfortable and the fire made it so cosy and warm. Everything is so well thought through and the place and its surroundings are beautiful.

We took a trip to see some waterfalls where we got engaged which was the icing on the cake!

So overall 10/10 trip and we’ll definitely be returning in the future!
