Onnen

Small blue and red tiny house on wheels situated on a grassy hillside surrounded by green trees and vegetation.

Onnen

Brand new vintage for 2025!

Onnen is our gorgeous new addition to the flock… a retro shepherds hut parked up in its own meadow at the bottom of a grassy wildflower slope.

A beautiful green stained glass window sits under a gently curved timber roof with a cosy bed that invites you to jump straight onto it - and the whole aura here is retreat and relaxation. A woodburning stove keeps Onnen super-cosy, and hob, sink and table and chairs means you can hide away from the world in style.

Set under an ash tree, Onnen (which means ash in Welsh) has it own private seating area, and is a very short stroll from our communal building, Tŷ Mawr.

Inside Onnen

A cozy bedroom seen through a partially open wooden door, featuring a bed with dark pillows, a window with decorative glass, and string lights on the ceiling.

  • a double mezzanine bed

  • a cosy dining area with handmade wooden pull out table

  • a wood-burner

  • a sink and a cooking hob

  • solar-powered lighting and USB sockets

  • access to Tŷ Mawr shared space.

About Tŷ Mawr

A short walk from the central yard is Tŷ Mawr - a space shared with Derwen and Hafan - where you’ll find a large living area with fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a cosy place to relax in front of a wood burner after a day of exploring. Much of the furniture has been handmade by us with timber from our land.

Rainfall shower anyone?

There are two luxurious shower rooms with rainfall heads and plentiful piping hot water. The toilets are twinned with Toilet Twinning who fund global community projects helping families to build their own basic toilet, access clean water and learn about hygiene – a vital combination that saves lives.

Outside, the deck is surrounded by nature, perfect for watching the sunset with a glass in hand, or head to the fire pit for evening star gazing and marshmallow toasting.

There’s a small honesty shop where you can buy Bydafau honey from Llwynbwch’s hives, along with seasonal chutneys and jams when available.

Tŷ Mawr provides a wonderful place to relax, cook and connect with other guests on the site.
