Sustainable Tourism Award 2018

Croeso/Welcome!

Our first blog, hopefully one of a series of updates about what’s been happening here at Under Starry Skies. Some ideas of places for you to explore during your stay, exciting events in the area and life here on the farm… we hope you’ll pop back and see what we’re up to…

We’re extremely happy to receive our first award, Sustainable Tourism Business of the Year 2018/19: Silver Award, from the Carmarthenshire Tourism Association. We enjoyed the awards evening this week which was a wonderful celebration of what you can find here in Carmarthenshire.

We’re absolutely thrilled to have received this recognition of what we’ve created over the last five years and excited about the changes and improvements we are going to make here at Under Starry Skies. New plans in the pipeline are to install a charging station for our guests with electric vehicles, to link up with more local food providers to offer delicious treats from our Teeny Tiny Honesty Shop and to take even more steps towards being a carbon neutral business by switching from oil to an air source heat pump to provide the heating and hot water for the facilities/ washing area for Hafan and Derwen cabins.
